We will note several old farmhouses with their beautiful entrances with very neat limestone frames. In the center of the village is a bread oven with a hearth out of work. Nearby is a large granite cross. The shaft is a monolithic column ending in an Ionic capital. Both sides of the cross are sculpted: Christ on the cross on the one hand and the Virgin on the other. By the treatment of these figures it is believed that this cross dates from the 18th century. Thus the date of 1811 on the base would relate to a repair or a change of place. click to find other crosses in the Land of Art and History . The ferradou (ox shoeing machine) is one of the last wooden ones preserved in Lozère. It is made of four posts from which are still suspended the straps which were used to maintain the working oxen.
