VIA FERRATA DE MENDE

The Mende via ferrata is located on the western slope of the Causse de Mende. It is oriented in its first part facing west with regard to the Lot then, in the second part facing south. The via ferrata develops horizontally to reach a rock cavity. From there, 2 courses present themselves, one difficult, the other easy. * The difficult route uses a skylight. At its exit, the 6 m vertical route that follows, strongly solicits the arms. Shortly after, this route joins the easy route. The route becomes common until the base of a pillar of about thirty meters. The difficult course draws a vertical route to exit at its summit. The easy course remains horizontal and allows you to reach the zip line (35 m). A marked path allows you to reach the start of the via ferrata and then return to the car park.
