LE TAC : TRAIN DE L'ANDORGE EN CÉVENNES

Little tourist train, Holiday trains in Saint-Julien-des-Points
  • This small narrow-gauge tourist train was brought back into service by passionate volunteers. The circuit uses the right-of-way of the former departmental railway of Lozère which once linked Florac (Lozère) to Sainte Cécile d'Andorge (Gard). The round trip (2x1450m) takes about 1 hour. You meander along the Long Valley in the Cévennes with its chestnut forests and its "faysses". We find there the bucolic atmosphere of yesteryear. You will discover, in addition to the landscape, several works of art such as the viaduct over the Andorge (viaduct with 4 elliptical arches 25 m high) and the Bramefont tunnel (82 m long), which bear witness to the work carried out there. 100 years ago when the CFD was built. The TAC works according to a calendar that can be consulted on the website. the departure station is located in Sainte Cécile d'Andorge, adjacent to the SNCF station.
