Le Choizal

PR N°10 of the Heart of Lozère. This circuit, which begins not far from the fortified farm of Choizal (private property), will take you to the northern end of the Causse de Sauveterre. You will also discover a "lavogne", a house with traditional Caussenarde architecture and the typical flora of these limestone lands. Note that the very pretty hamlet "des Pallers" is well worth the detour! Summit often windy, think of the windbreaker. Avoid in heavy fog or strong winds and pay special attention in snowy and/or foggy weather. Attention possible presence of protection dog(s) (patou-s) on the sector, adapt your behavior. Before committing to a circuit, check that it is suitable for your activity and your level. Remember that the weather changes quickly in the mountains. Securely close fences and gates. Stay on marked paths. Marking: yellow color.
