La Fontaine des 3 Maries

PR N°12 of the Heart of Lozère. This shady circuit which has Badaroux as its starting point, will take you north of the town to the fountain of the 3 Maries. This source bears the name of an ancient legend. Along the way, you will appreciate the abundant vernacular heritage and the localities whose Occitan toponymy will sing to your ears: la fouon del Riou, Peyrofioc, Roucha Douïros or la Faïsso del Ouncle. If you are a fan of small heritage, we advise you to take a short detour to the charming hamlet of Saint-Martin du Born. this small granite village has a pretty ferradous (shoeing loom), a fountain, remarkable crosses and very pretty, well-restored houses. The whole forming a coherent and pleasant whole. Marking: yellow color.
