PR N°23 of the Heart of Lozère. This circuit runs along the southern flank of the Boulaine mountain, a former massif of metamorphic rocks, micaschists, at the contact between the Margeride granite and the Causses limestone. You will notice that the traditional architecture is different from that of the Causses: Building similar to that of Margeride but darker because of the black and more or less glossy micaschists. The part of the trail that follows the "draille" (former transhumance route) offers magnificent views of Aubrac and Margeride to the north and of Mont-Lozère and the Causses to the south. CAUTION: Delicate fording after heavy rain. Marking: Yellow color
