FONTAINE DU GRIFFON DE SOUBEYRAN

Civic building in Mende
  • The construction dates back to the 14th century. It is mentioned in 1341 and served as a spillway for the sources of the Vabre. Rebuilt in the 19th century, it is made up of a local stone basin, circular in shape, has in its center, on a stone base, a bronze motif from which leave five pipes supported by wrought iron esses. A small man marks the top of the work.
