EGLISE SAINT-MICHEL

This church is the former chapel of the chateau of the Pariers lords and probably dates from the end of the 13th century. The appointment of the chaplain who served this chapel belonged to the consuls and the collation to the Bishop of Mende. The building consists of a nave with two bays, ending in a pentagonal apse. A side chapel opens onto the first north bay of the nave. This Romanesque church is remarkable for the care taken in its construction and the richness in the sculpture of its capitals. A statue of Saint-Michel, patron of the church and of the village, is placed inside. It is in gilded wood and dates from the 15th century. The entrance gate is made up of three semi-circular moldings sculpted in solid stone.
