Below are the truncated statuettes of two figures in adoration at the foot of the cross (Saint John and Saint Madeleine?) Crafted more skilfully than the other crosses in the territory, this type of small Calvary is rare in Lozère; six were listed in 2004. The cross benefited from a major restoration in 1996: replacement of the barrel, reconstruction of the missing parts of the legs of Christ and of the two worshippers. It has been listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments since 1928. The Pays d'art et d'histoire Mende et Lot en Gévaudan can offer you guided tours, depending on the program or by reservation. click to find other crosses from the Land of Art and History
