CHATEAU SAINT PIERRE

Mentioned for the first time in 1092, the “Castrum de Calberte” was abandoned at the end of the 14th century. It consists of a rectangular house adjoining a square keep, a chapel, a round tower and five outbuildings. Its medieval structures are well preserved. Since the 1960s, it has found new life with the installation of a family of enthusiasts who have restored a large part of it. It has been the subject of archaeological excavations which have transformed it into a real historical milestone in medieval history.
