Autour de Badaroux - VTT n°10

After 2.5 km of false flat uphill, the first difficulty of the route is a 3 km climb with a 200 meter difference in altitude. A nice one kilometer descent allows you to catch your breath before climbing 280 meters of altitude over 5.5 km. You arrive at the hamlet of Saint-Martin du Born! You then head downhill on tracks that wind between fields and meadows to reach the hamlet of Pelgeires and then the Lot valley. You then take the N88 for 300 meters, be careful because it is a very busy road. The circuit branches off, to the right, onto a track towards Nojaret , the hamlet where Jean-Antoine Chaptal was born! The route then takes a path with a slightly steep climb to halfway up the Causse de Mende, which offers very beautiful views of the valley ( Badaroux, les Bories and Mende , ...). the trail goes back down towards Sirvens, crosses the Lot and the N88 to go back up on the opposite slope through the Rieucros forest and finally go back down to Mende and finish this very pretty loop. Road access : The start of the circuit is located in the car park of the Jean-Jacques Delmas sports complex, in front of the intercommunal swimming pool (route du Chapitre).
